Roma (Gypsies) originated in the Punjab region of northern India as a nomadic people and entered Europe between the eighth and tenth centuries C.E. They were called “Gypsies” because Europeans mistakenly believed they came from Egypt. Native American Indians
- There are no natives. People move and conquer areas all the time.
- In his written accounts, Columbus refereed to the Indians as “Una Gente In Dios” which means “A People In God”
- “Native American” is a phrase coined in the liberal years of the 1960’s to replace “Indian” with a supposedly more appropriate term.
- They are not “native” as the came from Asia oer the Bering Land Bridge.
- “America” is derived from Amerigo Vespucci, a 16th century Italian navigator who was once said to be the “discoverer” of the continent.
