WW1

Why Did The United States Join WW1?

  • The reason why America joined WW1 is because England and France borrowed a ton of money from the Untied States to fight Germany and when it looked like they might lose WW1, Woodrow Wilson took us to war so we wouldn’t lose money and the banking system wouldn’t be negatively impacted in the United States.
  • Woodrow Wilson was brought to power to unite the US and UK together. Up until that point, the UK was our greatest enemy!!!
  • The Treaty of Versailles was to ensure the British paid the US back.
  • The US joined WW1 purely on monetary interests. The bankers in London and New York City went to President Wilson and said, “We’re in a lot of trouble. If you don’t intervene in this war, Germany and Austria Hungary will win and we’ll be broke.” 318,000 Americans dead over 110 days of fighting just to ensure the bankers didn’t lose money. Britain and France won the war and because of that Communism was established in Russia, because Russia fell apart. YouTube Source.
