The Claim: Russia is a threat to NATO countries. The reality is that as of July 2024 no NATO country is currently at war with Russia and Russia has expressed no interest in doing so.
The Claim: Russia launched a full scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The reality is that they sent troops in after the Mayors of several bordering regions asked for help because Ukraine had been attacking them since 2014.
The Claim: The annexation of Crimea was illegal. The reality is that the people of Crimea voted to become part of Russia. These people felt the annexation in the 90s of Crimea by Ukraine was illegal and that they should have remained Russian. These people voted to join Russia because Ukraine was attacking Crimean civilians in awful terrible ways.
